Terms of Service

The agreement, in plain words.

Effective August 28, 2026 · See also Privacy Policy

Short version: you own what you put in and what Coggy makes for you, a cloud step runs only when you pick it, subscriptions renew until you cancel, and web or Mac charges are refundable for 14 days. Coggy is in private alpha, and this page changes as the product does.

Who you are agreeing with

Coggy is made by Coggy, Inc., a Delaware corporation. Post: 350 E 400 S, STE 54472, Salt Lake City, UT 84111, United States. Email: help@coggy.ai.

Who may use Coggy

You must be at least 13, or older where your country sets a higher minimum age. Coggy is not directed to children under 13.

Your account

Changing your passphrase takes your recovery code, and a credential step-up is good for ten minutes. Finishing an account recovery needs that recovery code, not just a signed-in session.

Your content

You own what you put into Coggy and what Coggy produces for you. You give us permission to store, transmit, and process that content in order to deliver the feature you asked for, and to derive aggregate, de-identified statistics such as counts, error rates, and feature usage.

That permission does not let us train or fine-tune a model on identifiable content of yours, and it does not let anyone here read your content to improve the product.

The cloud steps you choose

A cloud step runs only when you choose it, and it names what it will send before it sends it. Cloud AI sends your question and the memory context you picked to a third-party model provider, which can read it while the request runs. Cloud transcription sends your audio to OpenAI.

Agreeing to these terms is not that choice and does not replace it. The Privacy Policy sets out every path in full.

Subscriptions, trials, prices, and tax

Pro is US$9.99 a month or US$99 a year. Pro Plus is US$29.99 a month or US$299 a year. Only the monthly plans are shown at launch.

New accounts get a seven-day trial of Pro. It takes no card, it works on every platform, and it is our own trial rather than an App Store introductory offer.

On the web and on Mac, Stripe runs checkout and calculates tax. On iPhone, purchases are Apple in-app purchases and Apple handles the tax. An Apple subscription and a Stripe subscription can both exist on one account; your plan is then the highest one you are currently entitled to.

Coggy launches in the United States and in the UK and EU together. In the UK and EU the first offering is free access plus a waitlist; paid access there opens once cancellation and VAT handling are in place.

Refunds

A charge made on the web or on Mac can be refunded within 14 days of the charge. After 14 days that charge is not refundable.

Apple handles refund requests for purchases made inside the app, under Apple's own terms. Our 14-day rule does not apply to those, and we cannot refund an Apple purchase on Apple's behalf.

Ending the agreement

You may end your account at any time, effective immediately, from inside the app. To have your data deleted, email help@coggy.ai. After a 30-day grace period the account and its data are deleted on our retention schedule, and if a deletion fails, that same address is the one that gets it fixed.

We may end an account for a breach of these terms, for abuse, or for illegal use, or at our discretion on reasonable notice.

Warranty

Coggy is provided “as is,” with no warranty.

Limitation of liability

Our liability is limited to the greater of US$50 or the fees paid in the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim.

Governing law and where disputes go

These terms are governed by Delaware law, and disputes are resolved in Delaware courts rather than by arbitration.
